I really love the visual aesthetic and design of the sheath. I do have two complaints that influenced my three star rating. The first is that the knife simply sits too deep inside. In my mind to be truly custom and listed as a Buck 112 sheath it needs to be shallow enough so you’re not digging super hard to get the knife out. I did solve this easily by shoving some para cord in the bottom and lifting the knife up a 1/4”. The flap snaps nice and tight now too. Secondly, the leather is extremely thin. I have quite a few other custom knife sheets, similarly priced, that have thicker leather. The material is beautifully tanned and colored and well put together just doesn’t feel nearly as durable as several other sheaths I own for the 112.
